Frequently Asked Questions
Our Most Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find the answers to just some of the questions we are frequently asked about our courses. If you have another question, please contact us, and we will be only too happy to respond to your enquiry.
Q: Will I be in a course with other people?A: No, you and your partner will have the undivided attention of your instructor for your course.
Q: Are your course fees per person?A: No, advertised course fees cover up to two people in the same vehicle.
Q: Where are your courses conducted?A: We have sites all around the south-east covering the north and south sides of Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Logan and Ipswich.
Q: Do I need to provide my own caravan / trailer and tow vehicle for my course?A: No. While it is preferable to learn on your own equipment, for a small fee we can provide a large tandem axle, high side trailer for you to use during your course. You will be required to provide your own tow vehicle. Q: Why are the Full-Day courses recommended? A: Full day courses are aimed at the complete novice who has never towed before. The full-day course is the total package and features all the inclusions of the half-day course, in addition to two x 1-hour of on-road practical coached towing sessions. Q: Why are the Half-Day courses recommended?A: We find that this is the best course duration to adequately train two people, giving them the necessary techniques and confidence. The half-day course allows students to go away and practice and refine their skills at their own convenience.
Q: Are there courses on the weekends?A: Yes. We offer courses seven days a week for your convenience. Q: Why should I know the weights of my caravan and car fully loaded?A: It is a leagal requirement to be compliant with the maximum weights (ATM, GVM, TBM, GCM) for starters. Non compliance with any of these could, in the case of an accident, see your insurance void or criminal charges laid in case of serious injury or death. At the very least a fine and loss of demerrit points should you be pulled over and weighed by transport authorities.
